Extra- Meet Mpho Makutu a robot creator using trash

I know this is extra, but wanted to share it!

This was recorded by NasDaily, he makes an everyday video of a minute around the world on facebook. He finds intriguing and undiscovered stories in places you could have never taught about.

This video shows the story of Mpho Makutu, a 20 year old South African mechanical engineering who uses materials found in dumpsters, like card board boxes, electronics that went to the trash to create this amazing remote control robots. The most intricate one yet is the a crane that can move in all directions, controlled by seven different wire levers. It only took him two weeks to built it (impressive!)

He is trying to innovate by using digital materials that were discarded and build this fantastic new pieces. I believe that his inspiration is a great was to introduce others ways to teach to an art classroom, as well to know that students can build an array of unique kinesthetic pieces out waste.

He is an inspiration for me, and I am sure for many others.
