My attempt to create an image mixing objects. 

Scanography.

Title: Change the object to the point of becoming unrecognizable.

Activity: Students will challenge the shape of an object using the scanner to make the object (or objects) completely unrecognizable. They have several attempts to create their images. Once they are satisfied with an image, they will give a new name, and function/use to this object, it can be real or imagined. Once they have their image and new name and its purpose, students will show to each other their results to other students to get feedback.

Materials: One to three objects of the students choice, a scanner, a computer, acetate, scrap paper.

Number in Group and Age: 16-18 Sixth Grade students in their graphic media class.

Time Allotted: Two 45-minute classes.
